We hosted our Therapeutic Touch Awareness Week on May 8 from 10 am - 2 pm. As a part of Nurse's Week, a BBQ luncheon was hosted on the same level of the hospital which meant there were many people to engage with while they waited for their food. The day saw 34 sessions offered, valuable connections made with staff and volunteers, and a great opportunity to bring awareness of Therapeutic Touch to the masses. Incredible, just incredible. What an awesome group of volunteers.

TTAW 2024 - May 9 - North McIntyre Recreation Centre - Wow, what a great day! We were honored to host 14 attendees and had 5 practitioners at our event today. Five TT sessions were provided and all were relaxed and happy folks. So much challenge for people these days, it was an opportunity to stress how important it is to take time out and look after yourself! Also, we chatted about how we ALL have innate wisdom to heal (activate our inner healer) and that TT supports this process in so many ways (expedites healing, calms the nervous

TT Sessions at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre
On March 8 the TTNO Thunder Bay Branch got a head start on TT Awareness Week. Branch members were grateful to provide 17 employees with Therapeutic Touch sessions. All attending were pleased with their sessions and felt very relaxed after receiving TT. One staff member was going back to her station in mammography with TTNO pamphlets to place in the waiting room for patients. We’ll continue to slowly step towards a partnership, although very aware of the crazy busy environment. We’ll take things as they come and embrace every opportunity that comes our way! Short meditations allowed the students to experience the benefits of being centered and grounded while working in healthcare. Here are some feedback statements from students – they show that balance is important – taking time for yourself reduces stress and stepping outside yourself to help others does too. “This lecture showed me there is more to life than
