On Monday, March 6, Alison Cooke, RT, presented the first of a four part series on Self-Care with Therapeutic Touch to a group of caregivers with the Heart of Hastings Hospice. The series will continue with monthly sessions to teach them to use simple techniques from Therapeutic Touch to bring peace and calm into their difficult life journey. The Heart of Hastings hospice provides patients and their families with supportive, compassionate care within their own homes, in nursing or retirement homes, and also at their Residential Hospice located in Madoc.  They serve the Municipalities of Centre Hastings, Marmora and Lake, Tweed, Tudor and Cashel, and the Townships of Madoc and Stirling-Rawdon.
