Shirley Boon RN (Retired) took her first Therapeutic Touch workshop in 1996, became a Recognized Practitioner in 1998 and a Recognized Teacher in 2000. After teaching many workshops around Huntsville and north to Wawa for over 20 years she is now slowing down and co-teaches "Foundations of Therapeutic Touch" and "Transpersonal Nature of Therapeutic Touch" with Debra Brear. Shirley has spent time on the TTNO Board of Directors and served on many TTNO committees over the years. Shirley attends the TTNO Huntsville Branch, TTNO Professional Development Days, the TTNO Annual Conference and advanced workshops and retreats. She provides Therapeutic Touch (TT) sessions to residents weekly at Muskoka Landing Long Term Care Home, as well as in-person and long-distance sessions to private clients. She also attends many local community events to promote the awareness of Therapeutic Touch.
