On Nov. 16, 2015 three members of the Whitby Therapeutic Touch Practice Group attended a meeting of the Bowmanville Retired Nurses group. We were asked to provide something practical that the approximately 20 women in their 60's, 70's and 80's could take home with them as several are in pain. They were guided through pain removal imagery, feeling energy between their hands, centering and blue bottle imagery. Practitioners demonstrated Therapeutic Touch with two volunteers. One of the women receiving Therapeutic Touch noticed energy flow through her arm where she experiences chronic pain. Another woman noticed that her pain had disappeared by the end of the presentation. This lively group asked many remarkable questions and it was a pleasure to attend their group.
