Paula Neilson, one of two Recognized Practitioners who work at Fieldstone Commons providing Therapeutic Touch, spoke to family members and residents about Therapeutic Touch on March 3rd at a meeting called "Passport to Knowledge for Families". This was part of Fieldstone Commons' Recreation Awareness Week.
Paula distributed TTNO flyers and talked about the benefits of Therapeutic Touch for the residents at Fieldstone Commons and for the family members themselves.
Everyone enthusiastically felt their own field while Paula demonstrated and talked. She also demonstrated clearing the energy field with Tracey Adams-Thibaudeau, Programs Director, as subject. Afterwards, family members were shown how to clear their own field to use Therapeutic Touch for a minor wound or burn on the hand.
Paula gave a Therapeutic Touch session to a family member who said she had a lot of tension in her shoulders and upper back. After TT, she said she could feel her shoulder relax and energy going down her arm. She also felt a little tingling in her hand. She was both amazed and happy.
